BELLE PLAINE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH SCHOLARSHIP
 
This scholarship is intended to be of assistance to the students of the Belle Plaine United Methodist Church. It is the belief of this congregation that the students of this church are valuable assets. Consequently, the members of the United Methodist Church of Belle Plaine, KS, wish to be a part of the process to encourage the education and/or training of the most qualified applicant. Thank you for applying. 
 
APPLICATION CRITERIA
 
1.                  Applicant will be an active member or constituent of the Belle Plaine United Methodist Church.
2.                  The successful applicant will be enrolled at any post-secondary school i.e. trade school, 2-year college, etc.
3.                  The completed application form for this scholarship will be in the Belle Plaine United Methodist Church office by May 9, 2011
                       by 12:00 pm. No late applications will be accepted. The committee will review the applications the evening of May 10th
4.                  Applicant must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
5.                  The completed application will include at least three reference letters in sealed envelopes addressed to the

6.                  Any financial awards will be paid to the Financial Aids Office of the institution the successful applicant plans to attend and will be paid on 
                      a semester basis
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
 
The Church Scholarship Committee is elected by the Church Charge Conference. It is understood that no member(s) of the committee shall be a family member of any of the applicants. The committee is to review all applications with regard to need, citizenship, and vocational goals.
